What We Are:
Word of mouth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing local artists and musicians without the distractions of money and noteriety. We first established ourselves in the winter of 2000 in santa barbara with the idea that anyone (whether they like us or not) may submit a demo and get a slot on the best system we could assemble in order to share with their peers. since then we have collectively bought and paid for one 5800 watt professional sound system and allowed hundreds of people the opportunity to share with the world their skills.
How We Work:
we are a collection of volunteers willing to work towards one goal. some of us barely make it through a night others go on to take over and begin their own companies. no one gets paid and all proceeds are put back into the sound system, promotions, and legal fees incurred by the man.

The Guidelines:
no photography without prior consent. no children no animals be responsible for yourself and those you come with be respectful of the environment and those around leave the area safer and cleaner than when you arrive, and be good to each other, we’re all alone together.
